Seduction in the Tranquil Gardens Chapter One for Velvet
Seduction awaits Velvet when she follows her wealthy boss into a secret garden club and a masked stranger leads her into a night of pleasure.
Evelyn had walked past the wrought iron gate of the Tranquil Gardens a hundred times, but tonight it stood open, and lantern light spilled across the stone path like an invitation. At thirty four, she had grown used to evenings that ended early and quietly. Something about the scent of jasmine drifting into the street made her step inside before she could talk herself out of it.
The gardener was still there, a tall man with silver at his temples and soil on his forearms, coiling a hose beside the koi pond. He introduced himself as Marcus and offered to show her the night blooming flowers, the ones that only opened after sunset. His voice was low and unhurried, and he walked close enough that she could feel the warmth of him through the cool air.
They stopped beneath an arch of white roses, and Marcus lifted a bloom so she could breathe it in. When she looked up, he was watching her instead of the flower. Evelyn felt the slow pull of it, the kind of seduction that asked nothing and promised everything. She reached up and brushed a petal from his collar, letting her fingers linger at his throat, and he smiled as though he had been waiting all season for exactly that.
The first kiss was soft and patient, tasting faintly of mint and summer rain. His hands settled at her waist, steady and certain, and she leaned into him until the stone bench pressed against the backs of her knees. Around them the fountain murmured, the lanterns flickered, and the whole garden seemed to hold its breath.
When they finally parted, Marcus rested his forehead against hers and asked if she would come back tomorrow night, when the moonflowers would be in full bloom. Evelyn already knew her answer. She walked home with rose petals in her hair and the certainty that this was only the beginning.
