Marisa had been drinking lemonade spiked with gin all afternoon on the cabin deck, and Dean had matched her glass for glass with cold lagers. By sunset they were both flushed, laughing, and very aware of how full they felt. When Dean stood to head inside to the bathroom, Marisa caught his wrist and grinned. I challenge you to a pissing competition, she said, and the playful heat in her eyes told him she meant every word.

They walked barefoot down to the dock, where the lake lay smooth and copper in the fading light. Marisa set the rules with mock seriousness. Distance counted, stamina counted, and style counted most of all. Dean laughed and unbuttoned his shorts while she slid her sundress up over her hips, standing with her feet planted wide at the edge of the boards. For a breath they simply looked at each other, two grown adults about to be gloriously shameless.

Dean went first, sending a long golden arc out over the water, and Marisa whistled her approval. Then she leaned back, tilted her hips forward, and let go with a confident stream that sparkled in the evening glow and splashed farther than either of them expected. Dean nearly lost his concentration watching her, and she teased him mercilessly for it. The warm rush, the open air, and the sheer daring of it had them both breathless and laughing by the time the last drops fell.

Neither could agree on a winner, so they declared a rematch and wandered back toward the cabin with their fingers laced together. Marisa pressed close against him on the porch steps and whispered that next time she wanted to finish the contest much closer, with him as her target. Dean kissed her slowly and told her he would happily lose that round. The lake went quiet behind them as the door swung shut, and the real celebration began inside.
