Horror Heat as Two Survivors Hold Off the Zombie Horde

Horror meets desire as a sharpshooting woman and her lover fight off the undead horde, then surrender to raw passion behind barricaded doors.

Mara and Elias had a ritual every October. They switched off every light in the old farmhouse, lit a single candle on the nightstand, and played the most terrifying film they could find. Tonight it was a grainy classic about the restless dead rising from a fog covered cemetery, and Mara had chosen it on purpose. She knew Elias always pretended to be brave, and she loved watching him flinch.

Halfway through, the wind slammed a shutter against the house and Mara gasped, grabbing his arm. Elias laughed softly and pulled her closer under the heavy blanket. Her heartbeat was racing, and he could feel it against his chest. The fear melted into something warmer as his fingers traced slow circles along her spine, and she turned her face toward his in the flickering light.

On the screen, pale figures shuffled through the mist, but neither of them was watching anymore. Mara kissed him hard, her breath still uneven from the scare, and whispered that she wanted him to make her forget every ghost in that film. Elias did not need to be asked twice. He eased her back against the pillows, his lips moving along her throat while the thunder rolled outside like a drumbeat urging them on.

They moved together in the shadows, two very alive adults tangled in sheets and laughter, every creak of the floorboards only pushing them closer. Each time lightning lit the room, she caught a glimpse of his eyes fixed on her, hungry and devoted. The adrenaline of the horror film turned every touch electric, every sigh louder, until the storm and their passion seemed to break at the same moment.

Afterward they lay still, listening to the rain soften against the windows. The film had ended, the screen glowing blue in the dark. Mara rested her head on his shoulder and smiled, admitting that the scariest part of the night was how much she wanted to do it all again next October. Elias kissed her forehead and promised the dead could rise every year, as long as she kept hiding in his arms.
